What Did You Get for Christmas?

Did you get any cool clothes? (I don't think anybody dares to get me any. There was a nice pair of hiking socks in my stocking, though, and plenty of $$$. I'm happy.:)

Ha! Not one item of clothing for me Rebecca! Not even socks or a scarf. However, I did open a lovely brooch Christmas morn. However, I did get some plates you'll see featured on my blog in the days ahead I think.

Now you can enjoy thinking about how you'll spend your gifts -- and whether there will be some clothes or not! Keep us posted!

Oooh $$ is always good to get!! I personally would prefer a little bit of $$ to scarves and mittens (I get those every year! no kidding, haha)

I got a lovely strand of pearls. Dh doesn't do clothes. Unless it is made of leather (and that usually means for the motorcycle!)

I did however get a brand new cherry red kitchenaid mixer which I've been wanting. Small kitchen appliances if you haven't asked=bad. Small kitchen appliances if you DID ask=good :) Pearls always=good :)

Ooooooh, Jenn, that's very nice! Very nice x 2!

When in doubt, fine jewelry is usually good. I don't wear much costume jewelry, but I have a lovely strand of pearls my husband gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago AND a strand his dad gave me which formerly belonged to dad's mother. The beautiful thing is, yes, I can wear the two together.

Thanks for sharing!

I got a yummy new robe (which I asked for), a gorgeous knit sage scarf/wrap (one of those enormous things that can double as one or the other), and a substantial gift certificate to one of the two "very nice" clothing stores in my little town (traded for gift certificates to our store). Darling sister also got me some lovely items that prove I am not as large in her mind's eye as I am in reality. :-)

Which just goes to prove that it's always safer to err on the small side when guessing sizes. ;)

Did you get a full-length robe? A few years ago we got a very nice, heavy-weight cotton terry robe (burgundy) for me. While I like it, I was subsequently disappointed that I didn't hold out for ankle-length.

But now I have taller slippers. :) (Gift certificates are always good.)

I got DVDs, lots of chocolate, L plates (I'm about to learn to drive), a couple of books and some perfume.

Plus I got myself two pairs of shoes, another Longchamp bag and a nice watch. (All of which I needed and budgeted for some time ago, but it's more fun if I give them to myself as gifts!)

And Mr BQ and I bought a car -- my very first!

SCORE, BQ!! I call that an excellent haul.

Did you wrap the gifts for yourself? he hee. Things are definitely much more enjoyable when you have budgeted for them.

Happy driving. And Happy New Year. :)
